Images and coding

To link an image, you have to add the codes and then attach the image file to the wiki page.

For books

Most of the following books are available in the Consumer Health collection on the 3rd floor of the Toronto Reference Library.

About the symbols we use
  • Canada.jpg indicates Canadian material
  • Fleur-de-lis.svg indicates French-language material
  • arrowcircle.jpg indicates a book that can be borrowed by patrons living outside of the Greater Toronto Area. Ask your local library to call us at 1-800-667-1999 to arrange for an Inter-Library-Loan.

For articles

A selection of articles from scientific and popular journals, and pamphlets, when available, are included from the subject file(s) on Breast Cancer. This collection is only available during CHIS’ hours of operation.

All images go on the LEFT SIDE of the book or article reference.
Press Edit to see the codes. Copy and paste them into the wikipage you are working on.

How to attach the image to the page

  1. At the bottom of the page, click Files.
  2. Click Upload files and select the file
  3. Files are on the g:/drive in **G:\CHIS\Web 2_0\Graphics **.

Note: If you are not in the branch (for example, extra hours) you can go to a page that has the image you need, copy it to the My Documents folder, and upload it from there using these steps. For example, these images are all linked to this page.
